Courses/Seminars/Workshops and Conferences Add to Gold Seal Credits Required for Certification

Applicants to the Gold Seal Certification program are scored based on their industry experience, trade skills, related management skills, education and training. To challenge the Gold Seal exam, a candidate must score a minimum of 100 Gold Seal Certification credits. While 50 of these credits must come from industry experience (5 years; 10 credits per year), the remaining 50 can be obtained from the other categories (education (mandatory 25 credits), trade skills, related management skills and training).

In practice many applicants obtain additional credits by attending courses/seminars/workshops and conferences. Gold Seal Certification program has accredited thousands of online and classroom courses/seminars/workshops and conference sessions, making them automatically eligible for Gold Seal credits. Applicants can also take other courses/seminars/workshops and conference sessions. When applying for Gold Seal, list the courses that you have taken and upload supporting documentation.
